ManagedLab Services is looking for a new team member to help support the Shipping & Receiving routines at one of our multi-tenant sites in the South San Francisco area. We’re looking for someone with a great customer service mindset, excellent organizational skills, and who comes to work with a positive attitude ready to take on the day; an ideal candidate will also have prior experience with S&R/logistics routines. This energetic and detail-oriented person will be part of a larger biotech/pharmaceutical services company, providing fast-paced inbound and shipping needs for multiple tenants via a centralized Shipping & Receiving area.

This full-time (40-hour/week) position is available immediately and is located in South San Francisco.

Core Responsibilities

  • Receiving and logging packages (both inbound and outbound), and delivering to on-campus locations in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Processing pre-packaged outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, promptness, accountability, and condition of shipments meet established standards
  • Utilizing company routines and materials management technologies to ensure goods security
  • Acting as an on-site Point-of-Contact for end-users regarding Shipping & Receiving support
  • Escorting delivery personnel and special equipment when necessary
  • Safely utilizing pallet jacks, delivery carts, and forklifts, and other S&R equipment
  • Following site-specific SOPs, work procedures, and Shipping & Receiving programs
  • Under the supervision of the S&R Supervisor, maintaining shipping and receiving equipment
  • Traveling between client locations as necessary
  • Ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and safe
  • Performing additional support-level and in-scope S&R tasks as necessary
  • Adherence to safety social distancing requirements before and during employment, in response to COVID-19, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and the  World Health Organization
  • This position has no direct reports
  • Reports to: Assistant Manager, S&R

 

Skills & Requirements

  • 0 – 3 years in a customer service role
  • Pallet jack & forklift experience preferred but not required
  • DOT/IATA certifications preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License, required
  • Personal transportation preferred but not required
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • New S&R / Logistics employees must wear personal protective footwear that meets the standards for ASTM F2412-18a Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection for compression resistance and impact resistance.
  • Available to work within the core business hours of 7AM to 6PM , and availability for evenings/weekends as dictated by ad-hoc S&R needs.
    • Service hours are generally 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday

  • Starting pay: Starting salary is $20.00 to $23.00, DOE
