In line with Government Digital Service (GDS) service design and DWP’s own architectural principles, DWP’s strategic hosting is focused on using hyperscale Cloud based services.
The Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) team design, build and run all DWP hosting infrastructure including Public Cloud and On-Premises hosting, and help product and service owners to transition to the Cloud.

We need a Cloud Infrastructure Architect who ideally has significant experience of AWS.
You can manage a small team of Solution Architects and the associated architecture design backlog – leading discussions with senior stakeholders to create solution options and recommendations, during project discovery and inception phases.
We’ll look to you to give expert advice to other Solution Architects, to drive decisions around technology choices for products, in conjunction with the enterprise architecture blueprint.
You’ll need to be a great communicator as you will be providing the HCS team with skills in Public Cloud computing services – ideally AWS -across our estate.
