The opportunity:
Linc Cymru are offering a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic Events Assistants, Bar staff and Domestics to join the team at our social enterprise in Newport, Lysaght Institute.
The Lysaght Institute provides meeting and conference room facilities, IT suite and function rooms with state-of-the-art AV equipment all in a unique setting. You will be an integral part of the front of house team, responsible for ensuring rooms are prepared and serving food and light beverages to customers.
- Meet & greet clients and ensure the service is to requirements
- Setting up meeting rooms as per the standard set (this will involve furniture removal)
- Serve, clear and clean meeting rooms as required
- Ensure the working environment is kept tidy
- Maintain stock control and advise manager when re-ordering is required
- Washing glasses / crockery / cutlery / platters
- Bar work will be available for those over the age of 18
What we need from you:
You will need to present a professional image at all times and demonstrate a commitment to providing high standards of customer service. Utilising your strong communication skills, you will need to build positive working relationships with both colleagues and customers and use initiative to meet deadlines.
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment is essential as is the ability to work well within a team.
