We are looking for an experienced General Manager to join our expanding business at Lakeside North Harbour.
With a busy restaurant, café and hospitality offer we need someone who is quick thinking and innovative to lead the team to success and drive sales through forward thinking and training.Included with this role is, Level 3 Food Safety, Health & Safety training, and free onsite parking.
This position is Monday to Friday on a normal working week, but may include weekend hospitality bookings.
Your key responsibilities as the General Manager will consist of:
- Responding appropriately to incoming enquiries via phone and email and chasing to a conclusion
- Conducting site show rounds
- Liaise with external suppliers, prepare quotes, contracts and event proposals for events of all types, including internal and external
- Produce event detailed planners (including catering, cost, invoicing details, itinerary, room set up, entertainment, AV etc)
- Conducting menu tasting while planning the event with the client
- Actively identify marketing and promotion opportunities
- Develop events from proposal right up to delivery, including set, communicate and maintain project timelines and priorities
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future General Manager include:
- Experience as an event manager
- Skilled in project management and event planner
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Customer service orientation
- BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred
- Managing a team and all training needs
