Hiring A Marketing and BD Executive

Our Douglas-based Client are one of the world’s leading international law firms, with a depth of legal specialists advising public and private companies, financial institutions and private individuals, including_a range of administration, reporting and fiduciary services focused on corporate structures.

As the organisation grows, they are seeking an experienced Marketing and Business Development Executive to join and support an established team.

Role Profile

The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the strategy, delivery, and measurement of marketing, communications, public relations, social media and Business Development tactics for the company’s Isle of Man office.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Work with the Isle of Man Partners to understand and determine the key and target client plans for the Isle of Man office
  • Implement business development plans for each practice group and work with each respective Lawyer to support their individual BD plans
  • Deliver the office annual hospitality plan using the relevant Team processes and documentation and on-budget
  • Manage events by communicating with the relevant suppliers and venues in a timely manner
  • Prepare relevant meeting/pitch information to support fee-earners
  • Ensure the relevant documentation and logistics are in place for business development trips, aligned to budget
  • Work with fee-earners to draft and prepare annual legal directory submissions
  • Work with the CSR committee to ensure the relevant Community Partnership communications and public relations are in place and activities are aligned to budget
  • Play a key role as a member of the Social Committee and maintain the Isle of Man office budget in relation to internal events
  • Maintain each of the Isle of Man office practice group budget spreadsheets on a monthly basis

Marketing

  • Author the Isle of Man office public relations content and distribute via online PR tool to the relevant media lists
  • Update communications schedule with Isle of Man office PR content in a timely manner
  • Draft press releases, editorial and articles to promote the company’s brand and capabilities with the relevant media outlets in appropriate markets for the Isle of Man office
  • Produce award entries for the relevant awards which the company choose to enter in the Isle of Man
  • Schedule and write social media content to support the delivery of the Isle of Man office business development
  • Provide social media support to the Isle of Man office where necessary
  • Communicate Isle of Man office communication priorities in order for the relevant SEO plans and activities to be designed and activated
  • Ensure that the relevant branding, imagery and key messaging are used throughout all BD, marketing, communications, social media and PR activities
  • Work with the Marketing Lead to ensure global analytics are both analysed and communicated to support continuous development of our digital marketing activities
  • Work with digital analytics systems to extract the relevant data to inform future communications tactics and plans
  • Manage the e-alert and e-invitation process for the Isle of Man office
  • Update the website where required with relevant news and updates
  • Write the content for regular and informative colleague communications for the Isle of Man office
  • Diarise, organise, and manage regular and informative colleague communications for the Isle of Man office, aligned to budget
  • Deliver articles to the relevant publications, media partners or team members, aligned to plans and in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update Isle of Man office collateral and brochure-ware
  • Custodian of the Isle of Man office employer brand
  • Attend regular meetings as a member of the Global Marketing Committee

Person Profile

  • You will have significant planning abilities with an ability to support the delivery of communications and business development activities by the delivery of these plans
  • A team player who understands and has experience of working for a global business
  • A confident communicator with high levels of attention to detail in copywriting and written communications
  • Self-motivated team member, with the ability to work across time-zones with an energetic and creative team
  • Can communicate fluently with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
