The Role
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional who can effectively work with us to shape and build our over-arching Health and Safety & Environment strategy, which supports our continued growth. We’re looking for a collaborative, pragmatic person who can work with us, adopting and reflecting the Geary’s culture that has helped to make Geary’s the successful, growing business it is today. Your main responsibilities will include:
·Ensuring we comply with all current and future HSE legislation
·Report on our HSE KPIs to all levels within the business
·Facilitate the carrying out of risk assessments, whilst maintaining an active log to eliminate all risks
·Develop an annual plan to reduce the risk of accidents and incidents and improve health and wellbeing of all staff.
·To lead all H&S training, both in house and external
·Ensure we have a robust and effective training plan to ensure our leaders have fit for purpose Health and Safety training
·Take a lead on all Health and Safety and Environmental business activities including; audits, site visits and business initiatives

About You

Skills and Experience
•3+ years experience working within a HSE role – Essential
•NEBOSH Health and Safety or Equivalent – Essential
•NEBOSH Environmental or Equivalent – Essential
•Train the trainer – Advantageous
