DATA ENTRY – TRAFFIC

Description
Trident Seafoods, is currently looking for a Data Entry -Traffic. This position will preserve records and information on weight, destination and traffic of all incoming and outgoing goods.
This position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and onsite in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keeps track of received data and source documents.
- Prepares and sorts source documents; identifies and interprets data to be entered.
- Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
- Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enters necessary codes.
- Compares data entered with source documents, or reenters data in verification format on screen to detect errors, makes corrections as necessary.
- Transmits entered information into database.
- Files or routes source documents after entry.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responds to inquiries regarding entered data.
- Keeps record of work completed.
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Minimum Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- 1 + years of related experience and/or training; or 6 months equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in the Seafood Industry as a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to needs of the audience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- ERP knowledge a plus-JDE, Oracle, SAP
