Customer Service Specialist (Remote/Hybrid)

This is offered as a remote opportunity; Oklahoma residents preferred.


The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a role within the operations team.   The CSR is responsible for providing an exceptional experience to our customers by focusing on timely, accurate and professional service.  This position is part of the customer service contact center, and the CSR’s primary responsibilities are handling inbound calls from insureds, medical/billing providers, and sales agents.  The CSR will effectively navigate systems and programs and are expected to be able to discuss in detail customer benefits, claims information, policy information, and payments with minimal supervision.


  • Receive inbound calls from policyholders, providers, and agents regarding our business.
  • Ensure that each caller qualifies under company security and HIPPA guidelines when discussing policy information or personal details.
  • Discuss eligibility, explanation of benefits, claims decisions/status, and general policy questions.
  • Process payments by check over the phone accurately and securely.
  • Meet or Exceed the Customer Service and Claims departmental production and accuracy goals
  • Comply fully with all MMO business practices and guidelines, as well as the MMO Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful interaction with all parties encountered, including all callers and team members of the MMO organization.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer Service/Contact skills including Call control/Soft skills


  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Background in Healthcare or Health insurance a plus
