Description: The CAD Technician will be performing drafting and design duties and be deeply involved on Gas Distribution projects Day to Day will include: Drafting in AutoCAD or MicroStation, working directly with Engineers, working directly with clients when needed, and performing quality reviews when needed Duties and Responsibilities: Performing CAD work related to natural gas distribution design Final quality control reviews Work with engineers and clients to resolve issues Reading and understanding client standards and specifications, other project related documents and meeting their requirements Data and document entry into various platforms Scanning, copying and filing documents Assist management on special projects as directed Able to gather information independently using established and defined procedures Ability to handle multiple project deadlines at a time Field visits to gather on-site project information Additional Skills & Qualifications: Assoicates Degree in CAD or Bachelors in Engineering Technology 1-3 years working in a drafting role within the utility industry (preferred) or civil industry AutoCAD Microsfot Excel, Word, and Windows Ability to work well independently and as a team member Detail Oriented Preffered Skills and Qualifications: Experience working on Gas distribution projects Experience Working on Nicor Gas projects Experience Level: Entry Level
