We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior IT Project Manager to provide high quality, effective Project Management, as part of a small team that works to create a wealth of support for early years providers via intuitive web platforms under pinned by a robust, IT infrastructure.

Position: Junior IT Project Manager

Location: Huddersfield/hybrid

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 (Band D)

Duration: Permanent

The Role

The primary focus of the role will include the full project lifecycle from initiation to evaluation and benefits realisation and the associated documentation, internal and external stakeholder engagement and management of project risks and issues.

Role specific responsibilities:

  • Management of IT related projects through the full project lifecycle, supporting the design, development and implementation of the solution.
  • Lead, assist and support the project team in the development and maintenance of the project plans, documentation and impact assessments.
  • Work with stakeholders to define the success factors and business benefits and how these will be measured and evaluated.
  • Ensure all project documentation is created, agreed and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Identify resource and skill requirements through the various stages of the project.
  • Establish and maintain the project timeline and key deliverables and milestones.
  • Agree and implement change control and reporting processes with the senior project owners and ensure the scope of the project is clearly defined.
  • Identify all stakeholders for the project and develop a stakeholder engagement strategy and communications plan.
  • Establish and manage internal and external dependencies.
  • Monitor expenditure costs against the project budget.
  • Oversee the development of testing and training strategies to support stakeholders through the implementation of the project.

About You

With a recognised Project Management qualification e.g., Prince 2 Practitioner, APM you will have experience of:

  • Effective project management in the field of technology.
  • Influencing and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading people through change.
